I am unable all of a sudden to burn a movie (ripit4me then Shrink). The movie is The Lady Vanishes, an old Hitchcock movie. Normally after Shrink it goes directly into Nero and burns. I ahve never had a problem. Today before the burn phase in Nero I kept getting a message «looking for disc» and I tried 3 different brand new blank discs and got the same message. Then I went into IMGBurn and tried to burn the files to a single layer disc. I got the message «device not ready(medium not present). Can anyone help me solve this?
The burner is a Sony that came with my Dell less than a year ago. Its never failed me before.
Well, it’s failing you now. Is the firmware up to date? Maybe you got a bad batch of disks.
Tried powering off and rebooting?
Moved to DVD Burning.
Only use genuine Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media.
Is it possible that you’ve somehow changed the drive pointed to by these programs?

Нет. Регион приставки никак не изменить, т.е. если у вас, скажем, европейская приставка, то после перепрошивки она всё равно не сможет читать диски NTSC региона.

Дело в том, что при прошивке, вам естественно понадобится разбирать консоль, чтобы достать привод, в МС это просчитали и поставили пломбу-наклейку именно в том месте, где идет стык двух частей корпуса и при разборке, пломба, естественно рвется. Но, умельцы прибегают к таким изощрениям как:
— Подогрев пломбы феном. При нагреве она легко снимается, а потом наклеивается обратно
— Покупка новой и замена старой пломбы. Тут все понятно.

Образы игр для Xbox 360 в основном содержатся в формате *.iso (так же встречаются в *.nrg). Если у вас файл образа с расширение *.iso, то у вас еще должен быть файл *.dvd. Если есть только *.iso файл, но нет *.dvd файла, делаем следующее:

При записи игры у меня в CloneCD/ImgBurn вылезли ошибки, привод достал диск, я вставил обратно и программа отказывается писать заново, написано, что диск заполнен, но ведь ошибка вылезла у меня в начале/середине процедуры. Что делать?
Выкинуть этот диск. Он непригоден для записи.
| 1. Скачиваем программу, устанавливаем, запускаем. 2. Выбираем «Запись CD из имеющегося файла».  4. Выбираете привод для записи и нажимаете Далее. 6. После того, как диск запишется (около 40 минут на скорости 2.4х) вставляете его в приставку и наслаждаетесь игрой. |
3. Выбираем «Write image file to disc».
4. Выбираете образ игры, выбираете привод, выставляете минимальную скорость записи и нажимаете Write (при этом учтите, что скорость не обязательно будет такой, какой вы её выставили. У большинства болванок на данный момент минимальная скорость записи 2.4х, поэтому если скорость 1.0х болванкой не поддерживается, будет выставлена ближайшая к ней, т.е. 2.4х).
5. После того, как диск запишется (около 40 минут на скорости 2.4х) вставляете его в приставку и наслаждаетесь игрой.

Итак, для начала определимся, какие программы/предметы нам понадобятся:
Предметы:
— Лицензионная игра, с которой будем снимать образ.
— Любой заполненный двухслойный диск (DVD-Мания отлично подойдет)
— Чистая DVD+R DL болванка (Verbatim, TDK предпочтительней)
— DVD-привод. Подходят практически все.
— Предмет, с помощью которого мы будет принудительно открывать лоток привода (Скрепка, иголочка и прочие тонкие предметы)
Пункт 1. Подготовка к дампу диска.
Выбираем привод в котором вставлена DVD-Мания (1). Щелкаем на кнопку «Find magic number» (Лупа) (2), появляется следующее (3):
Далее, выбираем File>Save layout file. Сохраняем в любом месте, присваиваем любое имя.
Открываем полученный файл блокнотом, видим там: (возможны другие комбинации, но нам важна только первая и третья строки)
Меняем в первой и третей строке (как показала практика, можно менять только в третей, пробуйте по разному) буквы C на D, соблюдая регист. В итоге у вас дожно получиться:
Переходим обратно в программу wxRipper.
Нажимаем на кнопку «Stop drive» и берем заранее приготовленный предмет для открытия трея привода (скрепка, иголка). Находим на лицевой стороне используемого DVD-привода маленькое отверстие, выглядит примерно так:
Полученный образ должен весить 7.05 гб. Скажу сразу, если во время снятия образа, какие-то части образа не снялись и в поле состояния вылезли ошибки и в итоге ваш образ весит
7.05 гб? Никаких Error’ов в wxRipper‘e не вылазило? Тогда все отлично и можно продолжать дальше.
Пункт 3. Исправление образа. Подготовка к записи на болванку.
Для обновления и докачки нужных секторов нам нужен будет доступ в интернет, поэтому перед дальнейшими действиями подключитесь к интернету. Подойдет любой доступ.
Итак, запускаем XDVDMulleter, выбираем «View ISO details», нажимаем «Next», выбираем наш образ, нажимаем «Next». Идет проверка и загрузка образа. Обратите внимание на две колонки в программе «ISO Region» и «Xtreme Compatibility». В первой стоят галочки напротив регионов, которые уже поддерживает этот образ (для нас, русских, юзающих PAL-консоли, главное, чтобы галочки ОБЯЗАТЕЛЬНО стояли напротив «Europe» и «Australia»). Во второй колонке мы наблюдаем качество образа. По идее все галочки должны присутствовать, но в этом образа отсутствуют многие.
Никаких предупреждений и прочего не вылезло? Все галочки стоят (обратите особое внимание на ISO Region и iXtreme Compatible)? Отлично. Переходим к записи образа.
Пункт 4. Заключение.
Первое правило пиратчика-вышла новая прошивка, обновляйся сразу и не парь себе и людям мозг.

Чтобы поиграть в игры под LT. 3.0 с установкой на жесткий диск консоли ( игры записаные старым способом НЕ БУДУТ ИГРАТЬСЯ С ЖЕСТКОГО ДИСКА )(8.5 гигабайт) (все игры начиная с осени 2011 года), нужно не только прошить консоль (чтобы увидеть раздел необходима регистрация на форуме), необходимо также прошить привод пк. то вам следует прошиться на 3.0 и сотворить со своим приводом пк манипуляции указанные выше.

Все старые игры (где нет XGD3 (новый способ записи данных на диск, придуманный майкрософт) и где нет AP25 (особые сектора)) на LT 3.0 работать будут.

I tried roxio and nero, cdburnerxp, but I get this error on the whole. However, the burn is successful. I can open the data burned in my laptop or other computers and use the same drive to burn more data in the other computer. I tired to reduce speed, but it is of no use. I have also reinstalled the drivers but no use at the end I also did a clean uninstall of Roxio-> then installed Nero-> Nero clean uninstall-> then install Cdburnerxp 4.3.2.2140.
Use the same media brand in my desktop LG cd/dvd combo drive, and things are absolutely perfect.

I got my ODD back to normal. The simple solution was to clean the lens of the drive. I called a Dell technician. He inspected the car and found that the problem was due to an unclean lens. In fact, I have never cleaned the lens since I bought the laptop in February 2008. I used a lens cleaner with 6 brushes Writex.
I also checked the drive by
1. create a Live CD: Ubuntu
2. a burned DVD
3 burn a different brand CD
Above all 3 tasks are normally carried out with any error. The player read / written correctly.

It will be good to see if the change will make things work.
Note that the error message does apply to the comma and no to the line, then you might think that just the comma must be changed.
On the other hand, there are other lines with commas before and after.
If remove the whole line fix, you can get (small) changes made to the work to make sure that everything is as you want, or make the necessary changes.
Otherwise, you can reinsert (search for the sequence of the remaining lines around it) and try again.
