Lil wop что это значит
It’s a racial slur against Italians.
is a derogatory racial slur (an insult) that’s directed to Italians living in the US I think around WW2.
Italian-Americans were called “guineas,” “dagos” and “wops.”
I think bc Italy became an enemy of the U.S. and Italian Americans were looked at differently at that time. Not right of course, but it seemed to have happened.
WOP = [W]ith[O]ut [P]apers
without papers.
As in any culture, there are [some] people that dislike other people from what they know, even some Italian people have this dislike towards other people. But of course without generalizing things. a wop is as bad as a spic (slur towards Hispanics) and niggers (slur towards African Americans).
I think the word WOP started from the large migration of Italians at one point into the U.S. which didn’t have papers, etc..
I believe there’s a term used by Italian Americans for a non Italian person in the US:
to me, that sounds like a water down version of «Americano».. but I sure wouldn’t know that part, just that the word has been around. 🙂
a medigan wouldn’t understand that putting pineapples in a pizza is not s pizza anymore..
