I just made another uplay account and activated Tom clany’s Rainbowsix siege Standard edition. But on my previous uplay account i had it connected to the steam version of rainbow six siege. Do i have to reinstall the game on uplay for this new account to work or is there a way that i can locate the game files and just open it with uplay/new account.

If you were previously playing on Steam and you’ve now bought the Uplay version you will need to install the Uplay version as they’re managed differently. Hope this helps!

I have a steam version Rainbow 6 siege.
Now if I receive an uPlay verion game key, do I need to download the whole game again as well?
I couldn’t locate the game files from uPlay. Game is in a steam folder and uPlay couldn’t find the files from there.
I got it resolved.
I just hit the Download button and saved the game to the same Steam folder, where the game was already installed.
It started verifing the files and downloaded 500mb before completing it all in 15 minutes.
Hope this helps anyone who faces the same problem in the future.

My main account is now asking for activation.
I tried doing what you suggested to do. It may have actually f up my main account and now when try opening my main account it’s now asking for activation codes. Note: I bought my second siege in uplay directly. and i main account I bought in steam.
Its not your fault tho, it’s entirely mine, I just don’t know what to do now. But before doing all that I managed to save another copy of the first siege from my steam library. Now I tried doing revert to cloud save, still asking for activation.
I can’t verify Syndicate game files using Uplay. «can’t verify game files, please reinstall..» but reinstalling is not a solution.
if UPlay failed to verify game files then there is something wrong in installation and most probably its the cause of your crashes, so first things first, lets repair your game installation by doing the following:
1. Copy the game to a different folder/drive.
2. Uninstall the game from UPlay.
3. Restart UPlay as admin.
4. Click on «Download» button in the game window.
5. when it prompts you for install location, browse to where you copied the game to in step 1.
6. UPlay will discover game files and only download necessary corrupted ones.
7. once finished, play the game and see if it crashes, if yes then verify game files.
if it still doesn’t work, try this:
close UPlay and go to this folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\logs (or whichever drive you installed to)
Delete all text files there, open UPlay and try to verify game files and let it fail, then navigate back to that folder and open these files:
Scroll down to the end and see what is the error posted in these two logs.
Post your findings here and YazX_ will be along to help you if need be.

Thank you for information. Game is stable. Removing, downloading, copying to another folder and redownloading doesn’t help. I can’t verify files after installing. service log is empty, launcher_log :

ребята помогите все перепробовал где только не искал ответ на эту ошибку ничего не помогает написал в тех поддержку не отвечают
Поздравляю! Ты сэкономил деньги, но не сэкономил время. Народу с проблемой дофига. Юбики загасились. Либо не отвечают, либо отвечают набором стандартной фигни «отключи VPN, проверь страну в учётке, выключи расширения в браузере, перезагрузи комп». Просто отвратительный сервис. Я так же купил и при активации выдало ошибку, но каким то чудом всё получилось и игра появилась в Юплее. У меня знакомый купил игру так же и в тот же день, но у него такая ошибка и ничего не помогает. Пробовали удалить лаунчеры, выйти и зайти в учётку, удаляли папку ВэбКэш, я даж со своего ПК пробовал зайти и активировать. Всё бесполезно. Ждём. Знакомый запросил возврат и ему написали от 4 до 7 дней. Как раз когда акция закончится=( Юбисофт как всегда обосрались. Вообще их реакция на решение проблем донная всегда была.
UPD: ещё советуют создать новый акк Юбисофт и синхронизировать с ним. Иногда помогает. Но только если у вас до этого небыли связаны учётки. Если связывали Юбик и Епик ранее(например когда взяли халявный АС Синдикат) то не прокатит, так как Эпик сразу будет заходить в учётку уже привязанную. А отвязка только через ТП(хз чью или Эпиков или Юбиков) Как варик попробовать написать в ТП чтоб отвязали записи и снова привязать уже при активации Дивизии.
За Декабрь-Февраль купил пяток игр в ЕГС, хоть бы одна не связалась с другим лаунчером ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Всё идеально и с Юби-Лаунчером, и с Рокстар Лаунчером.
Небось на русском написал, вот и не отвечают. Я с год назад на англофоруме написал по проблеме с Асассин-Одиссеем по английски, так там народу самих пользователей в 200 раз больше чем на руссо-форуме и модераторов там раз в 5-10 больше. Короче на англо-форуме я свою проблему решил минут через 5-7 тогда год назад.

То же самое в Декабре я написал по английски в тех. поддержу Юбисофта сразу по эл. почте по теме возврата денег за какую то игру ЮбиСофта, которую я купил и она не понравилась мне. Так через день уже решил проблему возврата денег за игру. Мне аж трое с ЮбиСофта откликнулись по e-mail по теме возвратить мне деньги. И даже когда я уже их вернул сразу после Нового Года, они мне ещё написали по e-mail и поздравили с прошедшим НГ, хотя я про них уже забыл

I actually did the same as you but opposite. I downloaded the free weekend through uplay and later purchased it through steam.
I moved the uplay download files to the steam directory and after a 5MB update it worked. Surely there is a way to reverse this.
There is. But it’s tricky.
You need to have the files from the steam map in the same map as where the files you would download the game through Uplay would go. Then when you start the download, Uplay «discovers» those files as files you had already downloaded.
I hope this helps someone. I’ve been sitting for 30 minutes trying to figure this out 😀

Надо перед тем как зайти в игру, зайти в uplay и потом уже запускать игру в steam

Короче, если данная проблема ещё актуальна, то просто заходите в Uplay > нажимаете на «Ваше имя пользователя» в правом верхнем углу и там будет сменить пользователя, выходите из аккаунта и после чего вводите свои данные и входите в Uplay, потом открываете стим и запускаете ещё раз игру, если ничего не изменилось, попробуйте, после всего выполненного перезапустить компьютер.
