I tried everything, but can’t seem to get it working. Since my server is always restarting the time after shutdown, since I can only shut it down trough taskmanager, I really hope someone could help me out. This is my serveradmin.xml file:

don’t know what’s going on but i rented a 7D2D server for myself and a few friends, when ever the server is restarted the day and time get reset back to day 1 8am. i fixed this issue before with the «saveworld» command however now after i’ve added that command to the Admin xml been though tech trying to get it worked out i still get the error when i try and do anything «Denying command «saveworld» from client «LostPup»»

I cannot work out what’s going on and having the game world constantly reset back to day 1 is annoying the crap out of me, also nothing else in the world resets all building and progress is the same but loot respawn airdrops don’t seem to happen untill it reaches that day again.

Not sure how to fix the shutdown errors you’re seeing. Perhaps someone else knows (or you might open a ticket with the host and ask).

Cant use admin premisiion Server is denying command.

p.s.
No page can find my steam account can it be realated?
Valve console showing one steam id while Login to pages shows completely difrent

Why starting a server (or a game) rewrites my serveradmin.xml steam ID to 76561198021925107

— hold windows + R (or press start and find RUN )
— %APPDATA% hit enter
— Roaming\7DaysToDie\saves\serveradmin.xml
— edit file with notepad or what not

So i left original line

Because every time i change it or rewrite it comes back when i start server and underneath that line i added my own but without the explanation thingies. Basicaly looks like that:

If the admin line is edited properly, the server should not deny you any of the LISTED commands. It has to be offline when making changes to this file, for them to be reloaded properly.

If you attempt to use «dm» or «cm» and they are not listed in the commands above, they will not work.

i set it so
1000 = normal users
999 = Thrusted users
666 = Lucifer only^^
333 = Mods
1 = Admins
0= Head admin

Most i never used, but it make sense. As example Really thrusted users can command a shutdown and a kick

change my ID to 76561198051674390 > save>run server

Edit serveradmin.xml WHILE SERVER IS RUNNING
it says ID 76561198021925107

I shutdown server (END TASK)

serveradmin.xml from %appdata% directory right?
i’m running server using default startdedicated.bat is that ok?

i had that too, but i never cared, instead i went to the external console my Server renter offers and typed. (Thought its serverspecific)

admin add 76561198321326453 0.
And done.

If you have no such console, use Rat.

Here for Paste n copy into a external console (where you allready have Admin access because you used the Telnet password)

It’s been fine ever since I’ve switched to stable A16 builds, but I keep RAT going in case of strange issues, since RAT will access the server’s TELNET console directly and overwrite the proper file 99.9% of the time.

As I’m screwing around a bit in a «creative» map. I found out about some items i wanted to try out (ID’s 1501, 1502 and 1503. Some overpowered things it seems)

But when i try to spawn something with giveself (no matter what I enter even the simplest of things) it says: NullReferenceException: Object Reference not set to an instance of an object.

What is this and how do I fix this?

have you set your steamID to admin with full rights in the serveradmin.xml?

Allright i didnt give myself full rights. I thought i had that by default if i started my own map.
As far as i know the command should just be: giveself (item name/id) (quality)

set value to zero. That gives all rights.

I never had to change any files to use the giveself command in a single player creative game not on a server. Just make sure that you’re using the command properly as suggested above. NO IDS!

Not sure if it matters as it’s always the first thing that I do when I log into my creative world is to make sure that Debug Mode is enabled.

It still doesnt work. I tried to spawn the fireaxe with Sagerk’s command. Alltough the command got executed properly i didnt recieve anything. And the ‘Super Diggah’ doesnt work. wich is the item i want. (For easy block removal)

Just on the off-chance that this might be the issue. Know that the item is not placed inside your backpack but rather dropped on the ground at your feet. If the command appears to have worked as evidence of the output in the command console text then look on the ground to see if it isn’t actually there waiting to be picked up.
