Dayz no kos
Dayz no kos что это
Ok, first, KOS means, Kill ON Sight. This is not a cheat or hack and is a
perfectly legit tactic in every PvP game.
WHY KOS happens so much.
There are 3 basic reasons why we KOS.
1: We are a newbie, scared less and react out of fear.
2: we are an exp player who just died and wish to recover our gear if possible.
YOU are in our way. Rather that waste a ton of time «Dealing» with a scared
unpredictable player OR another skilled player in the same situation, we kill them,
they are in the way and we are in a hurry. we quite possibly are defending our
base from attack.
3: If you walk into a town, up the main road, in a PvP game you totally deserve it.
EDIT:
4:Watching U-Tube vids and thinking you bought CSGO or Tarkov.
9 times out of ten it will be 1 or 2.
Remember if you DON’T want to be KOS, DON’T BE SEEN.
You’re right, KOS is a perfectly legit tactic. However ppl who do that really don’t get this game and would probably be better off playing EFT or something. If you KOS you are missing out on the best part about DayZ which is the interactions.
I just KOS’d a guy. he ran up in the wrong place and I felt threatened
You forgot 4.
Watching YouTube videos and confusing the game with PUBG just like the YouTuber.
Definitely part of the game, and that being the case, it keeps a sort of nervous energy in you when playing on a populated server. I do understand that it can be devastating for new players to be spawn hunted on the beach, and players who do that are just plain toxic. As someone who prefers the lone wolf survival game on low pop Vanilla, I very rarely run into others, and have been KoS’d maybe 2 or 3 times. Most of the times I see other players first, since I’m a Sneaky Old Bastard, and I don’t KoS if I can avoid it.
What I do find fun though, is if I spot someone in the distance I let off a shot or two in their general direction just to see how they deal with it. These interactions can be very funny, some run hell for leather, some dive for cover, and occasionally you find an exp. player who immediately turns and goes for an outflank on your position.
Really depends on what I have on me at the time, if carrying my whole existence on me, I might be more prone to KoS if cornered, but I typically go the other way if I can.

You forgot the real #1 reason people KOS:
Because they’re douche nozzles
Some people just want to see the world burn and kill everyone they see. Rarely do they even go to the body and get any loot (which often times is ruined anyway).
I find it far more interesting in a game like this to make an alliance, or have a team of people to kill others with. Very little skill shooting someone from 500m out and they never knew it. Far more exciting getting a group together and attacking a base for another group or pushing someone into an area and robbing them.
@Primus Palus, That’s a very limited view. While i agree there are some that just flat out target bambi’s and yes it is a little sad. but, The reasons i stated are by far the most
common Just ask the players with 1000 hrs+ The biggest cause of KOS however is
Lack of situational awareness*. IE they suck at the game.
I left that out to try to save fragile ego’s like yours..
*IE don’t walk straight up main street in a PvP game.. THAT is just stupid.
as is camping and sorting your gear next to the well.
I could go on but i think you get the idea.
So, I’m super new and really can hardly sleep with this damn game it’s so crazy.
I’ve had about 3 pvp kills and 3 deaths I think.
My first night I tried to build a little camp near Otmal kinda not trying to be real sneaky and got sniped.
I was drying off at night with a fire and a guy came in and whacked me with a sledge. Let me wake up and then killed me wearing my gear. Stun locked me, but I was crouching. That won’t happen again.
One guy said, «Hey there.» But I didn’t have my mic plugged in. I was trying to plug it in when he shot me. Totally fair.
Those are my deaths.
My kills are one or two injured folks starting fist fights. That’s a person wanting to respawn I think.
I looted a PD and heard the door open. I shot the guy without thinking when he came in. He had NOTHING. Wasn’t terribly satisfying, but the adrenalin was real. I think the coastal PDs are obvious KOS places. Once I saw a guy up top in the PD rotunda and yelled up there, «Don’t want any trouble, and it looks like you got here first.» We had a conversation. It was cool.
Killed a guy who attacked me in a PD. That felt awesome.
The guy who killed me in my house drying off I could have killed him. I heard the door open, and greeted him instead of just shooting. If I am ever in a house and someone comes in unannounced (when I have lights on and obviously then know I’m there) I am shooting first. I think If you walk in without saying hi you deserve to die.
Obviously anything is fair in a PvP game, but there are also totally honorable kills even between people who could be good coop mates on a different day.
Here are groovy KOS situations in my infantile noob view:
2) If someone comes at you unnanounced and at all fast, like opening your temporary base door without a hello.
3) If you say hello and they don’t say anything back. A coop minded player will be miced up, right?
4) Robbery. I mean, if someone wants to be the bad guy but they just rob you instead of snipe you, that is much cooler. I can imagine enjoying surviving a robbery and comming back from it

EXP is very hostile, but probably because the people that want to PvP are always looking for full servers and EXP is nothing but full servers right now. Had an incident today where I thought I was helping someone learn the game and when I went to show them how to drink out of the well, they shot me.
Not sure why. I had no weapon, and had already offered them any food or drink that I had. It must have been that child briefcase I was wearing on my back. LOL.

That or they themselves are childish. It takes a special kind of mental handicap to turn on someone who is actively trying to help you learn the game or gear up. They meet up with you, you give them food, water, and tools and teach them how to use them. They end up killing you for «Teh LOLZ» Really? They aren’t going to keep playing when the game goes into hardcore grind fest, having to constantly repair your car, fix up your base, or the weight system that makes it impossible to lug around 3 drum mags and 400 or so rounds of 7.62X39 to fill them. While wearing heavy military clothes in the games hot weather. Impossible to sprint non stop while wearing all that gear.

There are servers that advertise «NO KOS» and threaten to Ban you if you do. What players don’t realize is, that Its against Dayz terms of service to prohibit player killing. The only reason you can be banned is due to cheating, exploiting, or basic abusive behavior. NO KOS and PVE only servers are actually against the terms of service. People that get banned for KOS or for anything that don’t fit into «hacking, cheating, exploiting, abuse» can get the server shut down.
You should not report these violations directly to BI or the Day Z team, the deals with the five service hosting providers right now have them to enforce it themselves. The only emails you should be contacting are.
You should not contact the hosting providers that these GSP (Game service providers) rent from who own or collocate the actual dedicated servers that some of these companies rent from. Contacting BI or the Day Z team should only be done if there are non-compliant servers AFTER making them known to the GSP.
Go in game and open the server browser.
Click filter at the bottom of the browser
In host you want to type in one keyword at a time with one of the following, keywords: kick, ban, admin, testing, delete, desynch, pve, pvp, KOS, clan, only, private, personal In the ping spot you want to put in any number 1000+ (Or 0 to get them all) for max ping to hit all the laggy and unresponsive servers or servers far away from your location.
Wait one to three minutes for the list to build, some servers take a bit to show up.
Go back to the server browser, click on the non-compliant server, and hit Info at the bottom. Note the name and IP address. If it has the GSP name in such as Vilayer, note that.
Write an email to one of the above listed GSP’s. If you can’t find which GSP it is, send the IP/s to all of them.

Hello everyone, me and my friend got this game 2 days ago and it’s fun. Are there any servers where there’s no KOS? We don’t mind being held at gunpoint and being robbed. We just prefer to not get killed on the spot by other players, especially since we’re fresh spawns most of the time.
Any reply is appreciated 🙂 Also modded one please as we like modded servers more.
Welcome to Dayz, I sugest:
