Who we are
We employ around 1,000 staff in our UK offices. Company registrations for England and Wales are carried out in Cardiff. Registrations for Scotland and Northern Ireland are carried out in Edinburgh and Belfast. Our London office provides search services, and documents can be delivered here.

We also offer a DVD directory with basic company details on all live companies registered in the UK, and companies that have been dissolved in the last month.
The dissolved company name DVD has been withdrawn. It’s been replaced by the online dissolved search index on our Find and update company information service.

Designed for users of our online filing or software filing service, the protected online filing (PROOF) scheme can help you prevent fraudulent changes to your company.
This free service lets you protect your company from unauthorised changes to your records. It prevents the filing of certain paper forms, including:

Follow is a part of CHS which lets you receive free email alerts of company transactions. The alert tells you instantly what’s been filed with us, as soon as we’ve accepted it.
The email alert includes a link to the filing history of the company, where you can download a copy of the document for free.

Certified copies and certificates
Same day services
You can use a same day service to electronically file a change of company name, or incorporate a company (software filing only). You must apply before 3pm. If you apply after 3pm, your application will not be processed until the next working day.
You can use a same day service to upload a reduction of capital (form SH19). You must upload the form SH19 and any relevant supporting documents by 11am. If you upload your documents after 11am, we’ll process them the next working day. Read more about the same day service to upload a form SH19.
We have suspended all other same day services until further notice.

18 сентября 2020 г. на официальном сайте Правительства Великобритании было объявлено о завершении первого этапа разработки нового порядка работы регистрирующего органа Companies House, а именно его общественного обсуждения. Реформа в том числе нацелена на усиление мер противодействия отмыванию нелегально полученных доходов.
В частности, планируется, что директоры компаний должны будут в обязательном порядке пройти процедуру идентификации (установления личности) в Companies House, в противном случае назначение физического лица на должность директора будет невозможно. Процедура идентификации также будет распространяться на бенефициаров («лиц с существенным контролем») и лиц, направляющих информацию в Companies House (посредников). По мнению Правительства, данная мера может обеспечить бизнес-сообществу большую надежность данных, в частности представители малого бизнеса будут иметь доступ к сведениям о том, кто именно стоит за организацией, выбранной ими в качестве партнера или контрагента.
Правительство также указывает, что такая мера упростит правоохранительным органам процесс отслеживания сделок, в отношении которых возникает подозрение в отмывании денежных средств или мошенничества. Тем не менее, в обозначенных планах Правительства не конкретизируется, будет ли распространяться требование об идентификации директоров, бенефициаров и посредников на компании, зарегистрированные до принятия находящегося на стадии разработки закона, или же только на зарегистрированные после его принятия компании.
Ожидается, что реформа не повлияет на стандартные сроки регистрации компаний при наличии всех необходимых документов. В большинстве случаев минимальный срок для регистрации компании в течение 24 часов будет доступен и впоследствии. Сама процедура идентификации предполагает ее прохождение в электронном виде в любое время суток, для чего разрабатывается соответствующая техническая база.
Статистические исследования показали, что за 2019 год открытый реестр компаний Companies House обработал порядка 9,4 миллиардов запросов по компаниям, а его данные были использованы в том числе кредитными учреждениями при создании своих скоринговых систем и принятии решений о кредитовании бизнеса. Данные Companies House тем или иным образом помогли и другому бизнесу получить прибыль или оптимизировать расходы, получить информацию о мошенничестве и т.п., что выразилось в примерной оценке совокупной «стоимости» таких данных в размере около 3 миллиардов фунтов.
Как утверждается, будут расширены полномочия Companies House в части:
В то же время, нововведения не должны увеличить бюрократическую или иную нагрузку на бизнес, особенно в части регистрации юридических лиц и получения иных сопутствующих ей государственных услуг. Так, по итогам общественного обсуждения было предложено дальнейшее рассмотрение вопроса об усовершенствовании электронных алгоритмов маркировки загруженной в реестр финансовой отчетности компаний для логического упорядочивания данных и упрощения их поиска и сопоставления при использовании реестра.
Инициатива по реформированию реестра Companies House изначально исходила от Департамента бизнеса, энергетики и промышленной стратегии, после чего была вынесена на общественное обсуждение при участии физических лиц, представителей бизнес-сообщества и иных организаций. По итогам общественного обсуждения Правительство одобрило данную инициативу и находится на стадии разработки законопроекта, который впоследствии будет внесен в Парламент для рассмотрения.
