CEFProcess.exe — что это за процесс? (War Thunder, Europa Universalis IV)
Приветствую. Данный материал расскажет об компоненте CEFProcess.exe, а также о способе отключения.
CEFProcess.exe — что это такое?
Компонент лаунчера, запускающий встроенный браузер (внутриигровой) для отображения юридических документов в соответствии с политики GDPR.
Используется в разных лаунчерах — Europa Universalis IV, War Thunder, также возможно и других игр.
GDPR — политика безопасности от 25.05.2018, защищающая персональные данные пользователей, а также информацию, по которой можно идентифицировать человека.
Внутриигровой браузер например задействуется при просмотре новостей в игре, посещения игрового магазина (зависит от игры).
Варианты папок запуска:
Steam\SteamApps\common\Europa Universalis IV\pdx_browser\
Запущенный процесс CEFProcess.exe в диспетчере задач:
CEFProcess.exe — как отключить?
Некоторые пользователи сообщали об удалении папки, откуда запускается процесс, после — игра работала успешно. Это свидетельствует о возможно корректной работе игр без данного компонента.
Внимание! Данный способ не гарантирован и может привести к неработоспособности игрового клиента (например Steam).
Создайте заранее точку восстановления.
Попробуйте принудительно отключить процесс:

Может не стоит моды с левых сайтов брать? зайди в безопасном, посмотри.

Удалял полностью папку, она восстановилась при запуске игры
зы: да и отключать процесс вряд ли стоит. при нормальном клиенте игры и чистой машине вреда от него никакого, а польза есть.

Some people are reporting 2 concurrent exes and also some problems. The tech team at Paradox are «working on it».

cef_browser_process
Началось все после последнего микропатча 1.5.0.2. До этого все было норм.
заметил, что резко просел ФПС с 60-90 до 5-15. открыл диспетчер задач и мягко говоря при**ел. В общей сложности, за час игры, запустился 1 процесс cef_browser_process.exe и около 80 процессов cef_browser_subprocess.exe
если кому будет полезно, то можно создать батовский файлик 
со следующим содержимым, который одним кликом, смывает это г все в унитаз
TASKKILL /IM cef_browser_subprocess.exe
для этого нужно открыть блокнот, вставить туда эту строчку и сохранить с расширением *bat
подумываю разобраться, как вставить в планировщик заданий, что бы запускался автоматом, каждые 2-3 минуты, при запущенном World_of_ Lags
мне бы хотелось разобраться, что провоцирует запуск этого г cef_browser_subprocess.exe и cef_browser_process.exe?
Вернее что провоцирует я понимаю, это World_of_ Lags, но почему так происходит и нормально ли это? Мне бы хотелось услышать ответ разработчиков
p/s раньше cef_browser_subprocess.exe и cef_browser_process.exe тоже висело в процессах, но не более 6-7 файлом в сумме

Its slows down my computer!
To my understanding it has something to do with the premium shop.
The game work just fine without it, so kill it to free up resources.

That’s the background task for the embedded browser. CEF is Chromium Embedded Framework. It doesn’t usually use a lot of resources, but look in python.txt to see what it is doing.
Note: python.txt probably doesn’t log all what WoT is doing, but it’s a good place to start. I suspect at the moment it may be background downloading the 1.14 patch, but that’s not happening on my PC at the moment.

its what controls the browser within the game. its the backbone of the store, any of the little «adverts» you get in bottom right hand corner etc..
if you download bad mods, it can be controlled and made to link to random things as it’s just a run process.

It basically is used to display info from the portal to your game client. As in the store and the clan page etc. If you block it or shut it down, those pages will be empty and display nothing when you look at them. So you can do it if you feel your system suffers when it runs.

It should hardly use anything at all when idle. Mine don’t even go above 1% on GPU and CPU when I open the store tab or clan page. After the page is loaded it drops down to 0% again. As for memory? Its usage is more or less between discord and Windows explorer. So you should not really notice it.
But. if it has a load spike when you’re not loading the store front etc. Then I would run the game in safe mode to see if it changes.

So most of those blocked it as it did try to access site info when running, and flagged it as a mining crypto tool. Until it was approved and not flagged by then after WG reached out to them. But not all, so some still flag it. So if it’s gone it could be blocked by your scanner etc if you did not close it.

Yes you ar right but its a slow starter i took nearly 20 minutes before it appeared

What is fortknox.pack-subprocessexe?
It was running before, but now it just sits there with 0 CPU activity.
Also, I have heard of certain fame.pack-mainprocessexe.
I can’t see that running on my client.

it ended up giving me a resource exhaustion report in event viewer, first time I have ever seen that.
Battle Pass and Store refuse to load and just keeps this process eating my memory.
