Cannot reach nexus login server.
Basically what the topic says, I start up NMM and a box pops up saying that it can’t reach the login server, I tried putting my username and password in again and it doesn’t work, which is kinda annoying since I wanted to download a couple mods for NV to play around with. Current version is 0.45.7.
I’m seeing this too. «Cannot reach the Nexus login server.» Just tried rebooting my PC, but that did not work. I’m running the latest version as well.
I was also having some problems downloading mods right before this problem began. might be a server issue on their end?

They are centralizing all of the websites right now, so I think even though the site is up, the NMM servers may just be having the scheduled downtime.
As of last night it was working with no issues, but ever since the site came back up from maintenance since last night I have been unable to connect to the nexus login server. I have tried what was advised in the other forum, involving not being able to login, ie clearing cache, restarting computer, copying and pasting the username/password from notepad, etc and nothing. I hate to say it, but I’m glad to see that it’s not just me, just hope they get this fixed soon.

Well it appears that some other people are having issues downloading mods as well, so I think that there is something going on behind the scenes that we haven’t been informed about as of yet. Hopefully they will get this resolved soon, because it’s clearly effecting multiple people.
Login Error: Cannot Reach the Nexus login server
NMM is giving me an error whenever I try to log in. It says, «Login Error: Cannot Reach the Nexus login server. Either your firewall is blocking NMM or the login server is down.» I have already ruled out the firewall problem. In another forum post they suggested to put these lines of xml in the config file:

I Think The NMM Servers Just Might Be Down At The Moment. I’ve Been Having The Same Issue Most The Day, But I Can Log Out/In To The Site Just Fine. Firewall Also Isn’t An Issue On My End, And I Made Sure Of It. No Worries, The Login Server Might Just Be Down For The Time Being ♥

i think nmm is on its way out and being replaced by vortex. this is just a hot fix but it solved my problems as well but i think its time to get vortex
the fix worked, BUT:
all plugins seem de-activated (simbol with the bar) although the count on the bottom right still says «active plug-ins 207 out of 236»

European regulations stipulate that everything should run over the HTTPS protocol for security reasons. The Nexus servers have adapted and so has NMM in the form of versions 0.65.0 and up. Older versions of NMM still use HTTP and can no longer communicate with the Nexus servers as of 8 May.

I don’t think it’s from the firewall, I deactivated mine, tried to log in and it continued to show that message

Pretty much the same here. Can’t even log into the server to update, let alone get new mods. Been like this since yesterday.
I have had the same situation. I tried logging in on Nexus Mod Manager and it says Firewall may be stopping or server down. So I tried updating Nexus Mod Manager, and says «Could not get update version from server». This is a shame because my girlfriend finally lets me play some Skyrim and I can’t play mods! T_T

Sorry if this got posted before, but I couldn’t find any relevant solutions to my problem:
Every time I tried to log in to Nexus Mod Manager, it says «Login Error: Cannot reach the Nexus login server. Either your firewall is blocking NMM or the login server is down.

1) Checked that NMM has an exception in the firewall. It does, and the firewall allows it through.
2) Updated to make sure I had latest version. I did.
3) Uninstalled completely, and reinstalled version 0.55.8. Still nothing.
I’m not sure if the servers are actually down, since my friend says he can use his one on his computer, but I can’t even login to the server from mine.
Nevermind, I managed to get an answer from someone, I know it’s been a problem for a while.
Unfortunately, there is no way to fix it, the servers are down I’ve been told.
Do you please mind sharing with the community on how you managed to fix this issue?

Same problem here, I had it working before reinstalling and i used the same installer as before.
This would be great to know since I’ve upgraded to WinX, now I can’t log into the Nexus via NMM, keeps giving me the error. Using NMM 0.55.8.
