Blender Add-on: Screencast Keys
This is a blender add-on Screencast Keys to display the Keyboard/Mouse and Operation status.
All released Screencast Keys add-on is available on Release Page.
If you want to try newest (unstable) version, you can download it from unstable version.
Installation process is a bit confusing.
See Document if you have any trouble to install this add-on.
Screencast Keys supports English only.

There are two ways to install Screencast Keys add-on.
Blender’s Installation Tool
This method works for the stable version only. You can’t install the unstable version by this method.
If you want to install the unstable version, follow Manual Install process
1. Download zip archive from below links
2. Install the add-on from Blender
Follow below process.
Enable add-on, then you can use add-on Screencast Keys.
The name of add-on displayed in Blender is Screencast Keys.

2. Unzip it, and check the add-on sources
Add-on sources are located on the different places depending on the add-on version.
3. Copy add-on sources into your add-on folder
The location of the add-on folder depends on your operating system.
If the folder does not exist in your environment, make it in advance.

Screencast Keys Add-on now Supports Blender 2.8
The Add-on «Screencast Keys» has been developed by many developers. «Screencast Keys» is very useful add-on for the tutorial creator to display the status of Keyboard/Mouse. It continues to be improved by the developer. For example, new features are added to this add-on in version 2.x.
Recently, the last active developer quits to develop this add-on. So, I ported this add-on to Blender 2.8 and released as version 3.0. I’m going to maintain this add-on from now, and accept any requests to improve this add-on.
Lastly, I would like to say thanks for the original developer (Paulo Gomes, Bart Crouch, John E. Herrenyo, Gaia Clary, Pablo Vazquez, chromoly) of this add-on.

Works great in 2.8! Awesome! Thank you for this awesome addon, will make the task of creating tutorials much easier 🙂
does it show the amounts as you type them?
E.g. Grab the default cube and type Z 2 to move the Cube 2 units in the Z axis.
I had to get a very specialised version of the screen keys to capture that information for a specific video «Two minute tentacle» https://youtu.be/eJDUTIHAieA
Not in the version I am using but those do show on the header bar in 2.8 so it doesn’t really matter.

This is a quick way to make screencasts from within Blender.
This is limited to a single window and does not support audio.
For recording tutorials you may want to use more comprehensive, 3rd party solutions.
When you start Blender Screencasts, the header of the Info Editor will change, and it will show you a button for stopping your capture.

The Only Way to Stop the Screencast
Render ‣ Dimensions Panel ‣ Frame Range
The frames are stored using a suffix added to their file name, where the suffix is composed of the numbers present in the fields for start and end frames, defined in the Frame Range of the Dimensions panel, Render tab (see Fig. Render ‣ Dimensions Panel ‣ Frame Range highlighted in yellow).
The configuration of the End frame, present in the Frame Range of the Dimensions Panel, will not stop your capture automatically. You will always have to stop the Screencast manually, using the Stop button.
The Videos are generated internally in the same manner as the Screenshots, using the width and height of the Window you are working in. If you choose to capture to a Video file, Blender will have to pass those frames to a Video codec.
