банковская тратта
В Европе термин, как правило, относится к тратте, выставленной банком на себя. Тратта приобретается плательщиком и направляется получателю, который представляет ее своему банку для платежа. Этот банк представляет ее банку плательщика для возмещения. В США данный термин, как правило, относится к тратте или чеку, выставленным банком на себя или на денежные средства, размещенные у другого банка.
В случае чека кассира банк является одновременно и трассантом и трассатом. В случае банковского кассового чека один банк выступает трассантом, а другой — трассатом.
Банковские тратты могут быть выписаны банком для своих целей либо могут быть приобретены клиентом и направлены плательщику для выполнения обязательства.

Чек, выписанный банком на самого себя или на своего агента. Лицо, задолжавшее деньги другому лицу, покупает у банка драфт за наличные деньги и расплачивается им с кредитором, у которого не возникает сомнений по поводу оплаты этого чека. Банковский драфт используется в тех случаях, когда кредитор не желает принимать обыкновенный чек.

Тратта – переводный вексель, т.е. документ, содержащий предложение векселедателя (трассант) плательщику по векселю (трассат) уплатить первому векселедержателю (ремитенту) или его приказу определенную денежную сумму в установленный срок. Тратты, выставляемые банком на банк, называется финансовыми траттами.
